The Mew Project...

Ryou Shirogane first injected five girls with the DNA of different endangered animals. Their names are Ichigo Momomiya(Iriomote Cat), Mint Aizawa(Ultramarine Lorikeet), Lettuce Midorikawa(Black Finless Porpoise), Pudding Fong(Golden Lion Tamarin), and Zakuro Fujiwara(Grey Wolf). The five team members made up Tokyo Mew Mew, and could tranform(with the benefits of powers), meanwhile working at a Cafe as a cover. Together they fought aliens threatening to wipe humans off the planet. Ultimately, these aliens were stopped. Later introduced to the DNA in slightly different ways, was Ringo Akai(Humboldt Penguin) and Berry Shirayuki(Andes Mountain Cat/Amami Black Rabbit). Now, with the help of an unknown power source, a group of alien rebels has invaded earth, seeking to gain the whole planet for themselves. They aren't just attacking Tokyo itself, but the rest of Japan as well! Mainly in the city of Yokohama, new Mew Mews are needed. Another Mew Mew joins the crew and a new chapter in the Mew Project unfolds: Project Dragon!
